What Eireplan stores on your device, why, and how to control it. Nothing outside the strictly necessary set loads until you have accepted it.

The short version
We do not track you. There is no advertising cookie, no analytics cookie, no tracking pixel and no third party script on this website.
The only things we store on your device are the ones the site cannot work without: keeping you signed in, and protecting your session against forgery. Because there is nothing optional, there is nothing to consent to, and that is why you are not shown a cookie banner.
If you are not signed in, we store nothing on your device at all.
Why there is no banner
Regulation 5 of the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011 requires your prior consent before anything is stored on, or read from, your device. It contains one exception: storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have expressly requested.
Everything we store falls inside that exception. A banner asking permission for something we are not doing would be noise, and worse, it would train you to click through consent requests without reading them.
This is a deliberate position rather than an oversight. We previously loaded a product analytics tool that set a tracking identifier on every visitor. We removed it.

That is the complete list. If it changes, this table changes with it, and if anything optional is ever added, a consent banner comes back before it loads.
Third party resources
Loading a font, a script or an image from another company's server discloses your IP address to that company, even when no cookie is involved. An IP address is personal data, so this needs a lawful basis in the same way a cookie does. It is the part of cookie compliance most sites miss.
We serve every font, stylesheet and script from our own domain. Visiting our pages tells no third party anything about you.
Maps are drawn from tiles we host ourselves. If you search for an address while signed in, that address is sent to a geocoding provider so it can be found on the map. That happens only when you actively search, it is necessary to perform the search you asked for, and it is described in section 6 of the Privacy Policy.
How we understand usage instead
We still need to know which parts of the product are used, in order to improve them. We do that on our servers, from requests you have already sent us as a signed-in customer, rather than by placing anything on your device.
This is a better arrangement for both of us. It requires no banner, it cannot be broken by an ad blocker, and the data never leaves our infrastructure. It is covered by section 3 of the Privacy Policy, under legitimate interests, and you can object to it there.
Anonymous visitors to this website are not measured individually at all.
Your browser controls
You can clear cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out, because the sign-in token is one of the things stored.
Because we set nothing that requires consent, "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals do not change what we do. There is nothing for them to switch off.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add something that requires consent, we will update the tables above, raise the version identifier at the top, and ask for your consent before that thing loads for the first time. Not afterwards.
